Tim Burton shows that the jokester
is a trickster through not on only the jokers’ character but through his
actions. The joker shows his character mainly through his outrageous attire and
makeup. Not only does this stand out to others but it leaves a lasting impression,
as does the joker.
His character is has classic
features of a trickster he is rude, unruly, rebelling, obnoxious, embracive and
more to discuss.
As to rude, the joker does not care
about others and their feelings. He is quite selfish, and into him and only
himself. Majority of tricksters like to make it seem that they are present to
better another, but in reality they deceive others in order to get ahead or
above another. In this case for then joker it was to be above. As before the jokers’
accident, that has him now in a new physical state, he has always sought the
power and envied the things that his boss had. Seen as he was having an affair
with his wife. Giving him a sense as he was just as good as his boss.
By him having affair it automatically
showed him as unruly. As he was not doing the job for the being of himself and
others as it should be. But it showed he was not loyal and, was only there to
benefit himself. Also it shows that the Joker did not become the typical
trickster because of the accident but demonstrates that even before while he
was Jack he was a trickster.
By the accident happening I
believed it gave formally known jack a sense of confidence to act out who he
really was, finally his appearance matched his personality. Or even seen now
that he could hide behind his new appearance to act out and to gain power,
because others might not recognize him for his original being. Allowing jack to
start over an be who really is or portrays himself to be
