between the two people ( Ed Wood and Burton) are that they
continuously use the same people. The same people in the movies almost like
they both try to create their own family or even like Ed Wood and Tim Burton
tried to create the family that they wish they had .Ed wood used no name actors
as Tim Burton . Not in a literal sense but character wise. Both Tim Burton and
Ed Wood used characters that they believed matched their self ; eccentric like. These characters stood out from everyday
society. The characters Tim Burton used for example were Winona Ryder and what
seemed to be his utmost favorite Johnny Depp. In Ed wood Tim Burton made this
character very blunt and bashful. Almost as Tim Burton is through his movies.
Tim Burton allowed Ed woods’ character to be comfortable in his self and
confident were he was not ashamed of who truly was . Ed wood was a cross
dresser. It was almost like Tim Burton his self was reflecting his life of the
movie Ed Wood . Not before success but after. Tim Burton became comfortable
with his being after the fact began. After the fact , that he was being
accepted for who he truly was. But he changed what he wanted to be in reality ,
confident within himself from the beginning , successful or not .Tim Burton Presented this idea through the character of
Ed Wood. Although Ed wood lacked in the area of talent and film making , Tim
Burton wanted to show what Hollywood lacked. Almost as a subliminal to the real
Hollywood seen . Showing that they are short of real character , that everyone
is fake within the industry . Meaning people are pretending to be something
that they are not. Tim Burton used Ed Wood to voice these opinions on the
glamour seen as so did Ed Wood use his worthless productions to voice his opinions. In plan 9 it allows viewers to see how he
thinks from his perspective. It allows viewers to see the reality of Hollywood
without all of its glitz glamour that you see without a personal view, from
looking from the outside in rather than the inside out. In all Tim Burton
thinks highly of the character he created Ed Wood . seeming as in Tim Burtons
reality he looks up Ed wood
great comparion of the two directors. I like your point on how they both tried to create a family by meshig actors into a group and repeatedly using them in their films. great idea on how they both have an eagerness to expose the indutry for what it truly is, which is scandals and frauds. Overall great job, it would've helped if you would have had elaboborated a bit more on how you came about your comparisons because you had some great ideas.
